DESCRIPTION:\nTHE AIMS OF THE COURSE:\n\nThis course is designed to help th
 e individual understand their responsibilities within the workplace and is
  aimed at persons working with Abrasive Wheels. It is a legal requirement 
 under The Provision and use of Work Equipment 1998 (PUWER) that all staff 
 who use abrasive wheels receives abrasive wheels training in the safe use 
 of the tools and changing of wheels.\n\nNo person shall mount any abrasive
  wheels unless he/she: \n\n	has been trained in accordance with the relev
 ant Regulations\n	is competent to carry out that duty\n	has been appointed
  by the employer and entered in the\n\nCompany’s Abrasive Wheels Registe
 r the legal implications of these important Regulations are significant. T
 he course is designed to cover the statutory requirements which are mandat
 ory for both employer and employee.\n\nTHE SCOPE IS:\n\nTo give delegates 
 a thorough understanding of the dangers associated with the use of Abrasiv
 e Wheels and Cold cutting equipment as required by the EU Legislation rela
 ting to Work Equipment.  Also the course will train delegates\, so that t
 hey not only know what to do but also what not to do at the scene of an em
 ergency. On completion of the course\, attendees will be able to mount\, d
 ress\, balance and identify correctly/incorrectly fitted abrasive wheels.\
 n\n\n\nWHO WILL BENEFIT?\n\nPersonnel responsible for departments in which
  abrasive wheels are used.  Persons who\, in the course of their employme
 nt\, carry out duties to which the Regulations refer.\n\n COURSE CONTENT:

 Abrasive Wheels\n	Wheel Handling and Storage\n	Hazards associated with Abr
 asive Wheels\n	EU Personal Protective Equipment Legislation\n	Other hazard
 s associated with Abrasive Wheels\n	Cold cutting\n	Course Assessment\n    
     Practical Session\n\n\nTRAINING METHODS &amp\; equipment used:\n\nLect
 ures\, lap top with LCD projector\, demonstrations on power point presenta
 tion\, case studies\, training handouts and practical exercise on the safe
  use of abrasive wheels\, and the demonstration of changing various wheels
 .\n\nASSESSMENT CERTIFICATION\n\nAll delegates after being assessed and ha
 ving successfully completed the course will be awareded a CMS/SETA certifi
