DESCRIPTION:\n\nThis course is for delegates who already know about CDM.

 ate delegates on the requirements of the Construction Design and Managemen
 t Regulations 2007\, and outline the roles and duties of the revised const
 ruction safety management team and to outline the requirements of the MOD 
 Health and Safety Handbook JSP 375 in the management of construction on th
 e Defence Estate (JSP 375 Vol 2 Leaflet 20). This is aimed for delegates w
 ho are aware of the CDM Regulation and require to learn about the new 2015
  Regulations and the differences.\n\nWHO WILL BENEFIT\n\nAll staff selecte
 d who may be involved in the specification\, design\, management or execut
 ion of construction works\, including ‘Clients\, CDM Co-ordinators\, Pri
 nciple Contractors\, Contractors (and Sub-Contractors) who have a need to 
 be aware of and understand the methodology of managing construction risks 
 especially on the Defence Estate.\n\nWHAT WILL BE COVERED\n\nSession 1\n\n
 Introduction and setting course objectives\n\nSession 2 CDM Application\n\
 nReview of the differences between the applications of the Construction (D
 esign &amp\; Management) Regulations 1994 and 2007. The format and content
  of the 2007 regulations\, ACoP and guidances. Syndicate Exercise.\n\nSess
 ion 3 The Client\n\nComparison of the 1994 duties of the client with the 2
 007 duties\; including management\, appointments\, the client’s agent\, 
 etc.\n\n\n\n\nSession 4 The Designers\n\nCurrent versus new requirements o
 f the design and the designer to eliminate and reduce health and safety ri
 sks by design. The provision of information and liaison with the co-ordina
 tor and other designers. Syndicate Exercise.\n\nSession 5 The Planning Sup
 ervisor/CDM Co-ordinator \n\nThe differences between the planning supervis
 or’s and the CDM co-ordinator’s duties and responsibilities. The healt
 h and safety file.\n\nSession 6 The Principal Contractor/Contractors\n\nTh
 e requirements on the principal contractor and other contractors.\n\nSessi
 on 7 The Health and Safety Plans/Pre-construction Information \n\nThe pre-
 tender health and safety plan versus the pre-construction information. The
  construction phase plan. Syndicate Exercise.\n\nSession 8 Competence and 
 Resources \n\nA discussion on the competence and resources requirements in
 cluded in the 2007 CDM ACoP.\n\nSession 9 Examination \n\nClosed book\, mu
 lti-choice examination.\n\nSession 10 \n\nCourse Review and Conclusion\n\n
 ASSESSMENT CERTIFICATION\n\nAll delegates after being assessed and success
