COURSE BENEFITS & AIM:
To give delegates a thorough understanding of the dangers of confined spaces.
To enable delegates to enter, work and leave confined spaces including a vertical shaft, using escape sets and full working breathing apparatus, where it is appropriate for the company to do so.
To train delegates so that they not only know what to do, but also what not to do at the scene of an emergency.
To provide delegates with an awareness of the skills required when wearing Breathing Apparatus and an overview of the MOD Safety Rules for Confined Spaces, JSP375 Volume 3 Chapter 6, if required to work on the MOD estate.

Managers, Supervisors, Engineers, Operatives, Plumbers, Electrician, Technician, Health & Safety officers and staff who are required to enter and/or work in permanent Confined Spaces on the MOD Estates and work in accordance with the latest European Legislation

ASSESSMENT/CERTIFICATION:
All delegates after being assessed and successful completing the course will be awarded a CMS certificate with a note added to confirm that the course was approved by the Cyprus Human Resource Development Authority.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
It is a requirement that delegates attending this course should be physically and mentally fit. All delegates must bring with them a current medical certificate from their local doctor to prove they are able to enter into confined spaces, and a current inoculation certificate. (Further guidance provided in standard terms and conditions for courses).
Delegates will be continuously assessed by the trainer during the course. All equipment necessary for training on the course is provided by the delegates in some cases the hire of equipment may be necessary.
The content of this course includes awareness of periodic examinations of equipment. The course does not provide full training in the maintenance of equipment. Additional training relating to this subject may be of benefit to delegates (further information available upon request).
