The NEBOSH International Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management is designed for people throughout the world who have fire safety responsibilities at work. It provides the knowledge and understanding, when combined with relevant experience, to carry out an effective fire risk assessment, as well as embed good practice in the workplace.
Holders of this accredited qualification help their organisation to meet its fire safety responsibilities. It leads to a safer environment for employees and visitors to premises and an improved fire safety culture for employers and building managers. Fire safety is important. SCOPE:
At the end of the course delegates will:
1. This course will equip delegates with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out Fire Risk Assessments across a variety of workplaces.
2. Once the course has been completed, delegates will also be able to identify a range of the protective and preventative measures that will be
required to be implemented in their workplace to avoid accidents or incidents that could be caused through bad Fire Management procedures.
3. Τo articulate and document how to help their employers avoid the damaging and sometimes catastrophic losses that result from fire.
Who will Benefit:
This qualification is for people with fire safety responsibilities at work. Health and Safety Officers, Managers, Employers, Consultants.
People with fire safety responsibilities at work. It is particularly relevant for those who contribute to, or conduct and review fire risk assessments. It will enable them to identify preventative and protective measures within low and medium fire risk workplaces. Holders of the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety are entitled to Associate Membership (AIOSH) of IOSH. The qualification also meets the academic requirements for technician status within the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers (IFPO) and practical experience may give associate membership of the same
What will be covered:
Program: This is a standalone qualification (No other unit qualification required)
The qualification is divided into two units, each of which is assessed separately:-
Unit FSC1 – Open Book Examination (24 hours)
Unit FSC2 – A practical assessment to be carried out in your workplace (or other workplace) and submitted by email to SETA

Pre-course requirements:
No previous health and safety knowledge is required although it is advisable that candidates have an understanding of the basic practical aspects of Health & Safety. It should also be noted that the examination includes an open book examination and the conducting of a fire risk assessment.
