COURSE AIM:

To ensure that all staff and employees have a basic awareness of health and safety in the workplace in respective of their positions.

Uunderstand their responsibilities for health and safety and that of their employers and employees.

Are able to recognise a sound health and safety management system, including effective risk management;

Are able to recognise the key risks in their industry and understand the precautions to be taken.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the course, delegates should be able to:

Be able to understand the legal aspects of heath and safety and also learn where they should go to find answers arising from their activities.

Be able to do basic risk assessments prior to any of their work being carried out.

Anticipate and recognise risks to health and safety and have the skills to address those risks to avoid accidents.
